What to expect from the swimming pool industry in 2022

I hope everyone had a great 2021!

During the pandemic us at South County Pool Builders really tried to buckle down. We heard all this talk about construction company’s being shut down as Non essential business, so we wore masks and gloves waiting for local government to brake our door down and tell us to stop working. We were braising ourself for months without work, we were sure that people would hold on to their money and not want to create there dream backyard.

Much to our surprise, we were completely wrong. People were stuck at home and decided that this was the perfect time to enjoy there home and family. So we got very busy. Not only did we get busy, we got so busy that we were running out of material. Swimming pool equipment expecially became very hard to get.

We can tell by our signed contracts that we are showing no sign of slowing down. So it us up to us as professionals to deal with any challanges we may face in 2022. The supply shortage is still prevolant, so we have been ordering equipment 3 months in advance to keep up with our customers damands.

To anyone who is looking to hire a professional to build you a swimming pool, My advise would be to START THE PROCESS NOW. Any good contractor in 2022 is going to be very busy, with inflation at 7% and the shortage of equipment, the price will inevitably go up. The sooner you sign the contract, the better chances you will have of getting the best deal for your money.

Thank you to all our customers and I hope you and your family have a safe and health 2022.
